About Sharada Sarvagya Peetham

Welcome to Sharada Sarvagya Peetham, the Global Seat of Sharada Peeth, located in the vibrant city of the Hague, Netherlands, the City of Peace and Justice. Our center is a modern-day manifestation of the world’s first university where ancient wisdom was imparted to seekers from all over the world.

According to Hindu mythology, Sharada Peeth was founded by the creator of the world, Lord Brahma. Here, Adi Shankaracharya, one of India’s most outstanding spiritual leaders, received his name. After that, he established the four major seats of the Hindu religion, namely, Badrinath Dham in the North of India, Jagannath Dham in the East of India, Dwarka Dham in the West, and Ramwshwaram in the South of India. The Peeth was a center of learning where Tantra, Mantra, Science, Astrology, Mathematics, Yoga, and Ayurveda were taught to disciples from around the globe.

Sharada Jayanti, the annual function of the Sharada Peeth, was a grand celebration that millions of people from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia visited to be a part of. The Peeth was renowned for its scholarly achievements and spiritual practices, attracting seekers and scholars from all walks of life. Hsiuen Tsang, a Chinese Buddhist monk, also visited the Sharada Peeth during his travels in India.

Today, the Global Seat of Sharada Sarvagya Peetham continues the tradition of promoting education, spirituality, and cultural enrichment. Our center offers a range of programs and activities focused on personal growth, spiritual development, research, and cultural awareness.
